31 years ago I joined a kids running group, and ever since I laced up my shoes that first day of practice, running has stayed with me as my most fulfilling lifelong pursuit. While at college at Harvard, the legendary spirit of running in Boston enticed me to train for my first marathon. I have run 14 marathons since, and I’m a 6-time Boston Marathon finisher.
Inspired by the great coaches and role models I have had throughout the years, I became a running coach in 2006. I brought hundreds of runners from 3 miles to 26.2 miles in 6 months through the AIDS Marathon Training Program, and I trained hundreds of runners for 11 half marathons for Fleet Feet Sports San Francisco. I am a Road Runners Club of America Certified Coach, USATF Level I Certified Coach, VDOT O2 Certified Distance Coach, and US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Certified Endurance Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
In 2011, I founded my personal coaching business, Coach Eve: Personal Training for Joyful Running, and I presently train beginner, intermediate and advanced clients for races ranging from 5K to marathon distance. I also work with clients with no particular race goals, as well as members of the military and others training for professional fitness tests.
From 2018-2019, I joined the cross country coaching staff at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. Our girls team won 1st place in the California State Championship (Division V) in both 2018 and 2019.
I am very successful in helping my clients stay injury free and attain their performance goals. And most of all, I help my clients maximize their joy and fulfillment in this awesome sport. I would love to help you excel in your training while having a blast throughout!

Training Block was created with a mission to support and empower runners, in order to elevate our sport. We do so by giving runners access to a network of local sport performance providers, who provide runners with the care they need from coaching, physical therapy, massage, strength training, and more. We also give providers an easy way to connect with each other and share articles, videos, and other resources that benefit runners and providers alike. For every service booked through Training Block, we donate 10% of our revenues to Training Block’s Elite Athlete Fund, which sponsors elite runners who do not have professional contracts and need financial support for racing at their highest level.
